Magnet Experiment #1

Materials needed:
1 Magnet
1 paper clip
1 penny
1 piece of paper
1 safety pin
1 piece of string
1 pair of scissors
1 bottle of glue


Directions:
1. Print out this page.
2. Cut out the squares with the picture of an object
3.Spread out the materials in front of you.
4. Match the picture square with your object and place them next to one another.
5. Pick up your magnet and put it on an object to see if the magnet attracts that object.
6. If an object is attracted to the magnet, glue your square with the object under:
"The magnet could pick up these things."
7. If an object is not attracted to the magnet, glue your square with the object under:
"The magnet could not pick up these things."
8. When the glue on your page has dried, place your paper on your refrigerator with a magnet.
